About the role

Our Azure Cloud SRE team ensures the reliability, scalability, and performance of our digital banking infrastructure, aiming for a robust financial future and pioneering cloud operations standards.

Your main responsibilities:

• Opportunity to own and shape infrastructure standards for our integrated currency and digital asset banking platforms at the frontier of digital asset banking.
• Leadership in defining, implementing, and monitoring infrastructure governance frameworks for digital asset custody, trading, and banking.
• Hands-on development of infrastructure patterns bridging traditional banking and blockchain.
• Strategic input into our multi-cloud and key management architecture.
• Chance to establish industry-leading infrastructure practices in an emerging sector.
• Serve as a key liaison and coordinator between the SRE team and cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT operations, and other clouds.
• Drive the effective implementation and operationalization of infrastructure strategies and standards across the organization.

Our ideal candidate

You are a highly skilled infrastructure professional with a strong background in overseeing cloud architecture for infrastructure, applications, and cloud technologies. You are eager to join an innovative organization at the forefront of the digital asset economy. You thrive on solving complex infrastructure challenges in regulated environments and are passionate about establishing new standards for the emerging digital asset banking sector. You combine deep technical expertise with an understanding of regulatory requirements for financial institutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in infrastructure architecture roles or equivalent.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English.
• Strong ability to collaborate with and influence diverse teams, serving as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and driving alignment across teams.

Proven expertise covering at least 75% of:

• Cloud infrastructure architecture and landing zone concepts for Azure
• Knowledge in architecting, building and securely maintaining infrastructure running on Azure in an immutable (declarative) fashion
• Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) frameworks
• Developing infrastructure standards in regulated environments
• Infrastructure architecture reviews for critical business systems
• Financial regulations (e.g. FINMA) and banking infrastructure requirements
• Application, infrastructure, and networking best practices
• API standards and gateway architecture
• Kubernetes and microservices infrastructure patterns

Nice to Have:

• Team leadership or management experience
• Azure Data platforms infrastructure
• German language proficiency
