(Senior) Backend Engineer Full Time (Remote)

Our client is working on an entirely novel institutional-grade crypto trading platform based on breakthrough technology that combines the best of Decentralized and Centralized Finance. The technology allows trades to be executed in a secure and trustless environment with unprecedented speed – all while keeping user’s data confidential. It has the potential to change the way institutional markets are structured.

They are looking for a (senior) backend engineer to join their team asap as an individual contributor (Go focus).

Responsibilities:

• Work on the core of novel hybrid CeFi/DeFi exchange technology – the backend is written in Go
• Design, optimize and implement novel exchange modules and risk engines
• Tackle complex infrastructure challenges related to high-throughput transactions in a secure environment while maintaining network scalability

Must-haves:

• Advanced backend engineering skills (in either C++, Go, Java or Rust)
• Interest for developing in Go (previous hands-on Go experience is not mandatory)
• Previous experience from working on topics like high throughput low latency (trading) systems, matching engines, order management systems, exchange infrastructure, trading algorithms or AI / ML / adtech / complex systems in general
• Strong focus on code quality
• Independent working style
• Interest for blockchain

Nice-to-haves:

• Good understanding of core DLT concepts (e.g., consensus algorithms, cryptography, tokenomics etc.)
• Previous experience from working in a startup / scale-up context

This is a permanent and full-time opportunity (remote-friendly) that comes with a competitive compensation package (fixed salary + equity + most likely also a token plan [tbc]).
