About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Crypto Risk Manager to join our dynamic Risk Management team. In this critical role, you will identify, assess, and mitigate risks tied to our cryptocurrency operations, such as trading, custody, and regulatory compliance. We’re looking for a proactive professional who can handle the unique challenges of digital assets and ensure our business and customers are protected in the fast-evolving crypto space.

What You’ll Do:

🧠 Crypto Risk Identification and Assessment

• Identify, assess, and manage crypto-related risks that could impact the Bank’s operations, performance, or reputation.
• Raise and track crypto risk issues and incidents, ensuring relevant stakeholders are involved and remediation is timely.
• Maintain and update the crypto risk register, log new risks, and perform regular risk assessments, including for new products.
• Participate in the risk incident management process: register events, investigate root causes, and ensure appropriate follow-up.

🛡 Risk Mitigation and Controls

• Evaluate and test the design and effectiveness of internal controls mitigating crypto-related risks.
• Collaborate with business and support teams to remediate and close crypto risk incidents and issues.
• Design and maintain secure processes for crypto trading, custody, and third-party risk, including ongoing SLA monitoring.
• Continuously improve crypto risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with evolving threats.

📜 Regulatory Compliance and Governance

• Ensure alignment with European and Lithuanian regulatory standards for digital assets and cryptocurrencies.
• Work closely with Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, and Audit teams to close gaps, support examinations, and align on risk objectives.
• Escalate key issues, contribute to crypto policy updates, and represent crypto risk in internal risk committees and forums.
• Stay ahead of global regulatory shifts (e.g. AML, KYC, MiCA) and help translate them into actionable risk practices.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in a risk management or related role within financial services
• Deep knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency markets.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
