The Technology team

Quant’s Engineering team is a cornerstone of the company. It is responsible for turning designs from our Product team into robust, scalable solutions that will delight our demanding large financial institution and enterprise customers. Working in small, close-knit, multidisciplined squads, our engineers are involved not just in software development but also in refining the details of our products and their features. Your role

Quant’s Overledger API gateway is a foundational product. It is the layer that enables interoperability across blockchains, making it possible to deliver other products and solutions that will run on any network – and to do so without the need for expensive specialist knowledge or lengthy projects. Some third-party developers and partners are already doing so. And we are too: building exciting new value on this foundation.

The Developer Relations Manager’s role is to grow our budding developer community and encourage them to make broader and deeper use of our products. To do so, you’ll become both the owner of all communication with the community externally but also their voice internally within Quant. You’ll be expected to get close to our developers to understand their challenges, identify use cases, and gather feedback. You’ll then work with your colleagues in the Technology, Product and Marketing teams to enhance our products as well as our communications to better serve developers.

Key responsibilities

• Evangelise: Grow our presence in the developer and tech communities by “spreading the word” around our products, technological abilities, and company culture.
• Enable: Own developer relationships and support app developers, helping them succeed with their Quant projects.
• Support: Create a cohesive and bonded developer community by sharing knowledge, tips, and solutions in relevant channels, attend events and organize meetups.
• Improve: Collect feedback, create demos and code examples, find solutions for product issues and product bugs. Work on improving our APIs documentation and onboarding flows in order to achieve excellent developers experience
• Measure: Track your impact through key performance metrics around the strength of our reach, community growth and product adoption.

Required skills or experience

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role
• 5+ years’ experience in code developing in one or more of the following languages: Java, TypeScript, Express, Spring Boot.
• Experience in developing projects that require working with 3rd party vendors and developers
• Experience of blockchain and/or fintech
• Ability to empathise with engineers from different backgrounds (Backend, Web, Mobile, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English – must
• Creative thinker with the ability to provide creative solutions to complex issues
• Strong interpersonal skills, friendly, positive attitude
• Comfortable being an ambassador for Quant on social media and other digital channels
• Public speaking/presenting
• Start-up/scale up experience (preferred but not required)
