Director of Global Compliance Operations Full Time (Remote)

Compliance is looking for a Director Global Compliance Operations to join our rapidly growing team. You will be a key member of the Global Compliance Leadership Team and will lead the critical functions of overseeing the Compliance Operations programs comprising various sub-pillars, its strategic roadmap and execution.

This role works closely with the Chief Compliance Officer and a variety of senior stakeholders across the company.

This is a position that will help continue to drive the culture of Compliance forward while supporting ongoing growth within Paxos.

As a Director Global Compliance Operations, you’ll get to: 

• Create a scalable due diligence, screening, and onboarding framework to support Paxos’ global expansion and rapid partnership growth.
• Design, build, and scale a Financial Intelligence Unit to support our global AML/CTF programs, including transaction monitoring, investigations, and regulatory reporting functions.
• Develop trade surveillance and monitoring programs and hire a team to support these efforts.
• Establish a compliance business intelligence and analytics function to drive data-driven resource allocation and insights
• Manage and deploy third party outsourcing relationships.
• Implement and scale consumer protection adherence programs.
• Immerse yourself in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency for enterprises and investors, our regulation-first approach, and more!

Your experience should include:

• 7-10 years of prior experience in financial institutions
• Subject matter expertise in anti-money laundering/counter terrorist financing, sanctions, trade surveillance, and consumer protection regulations.
• Organizational design, strategic hiring, and management of large teams (50+).
• Experience leading operations/FIU/investigations team in a high growth environment.
• Ability to create support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders; create a strong network of relationships among peers, internal partners, external constituencies and decision makers.
• Strong experience in running a process with a command and control mind-set and has experience in organization design, process re-engineering, driving effective and efficient procedures
• The aptitude to be comfortable acting as an agent for positive change with agility and flexibility
• Familiarity with outsourcing providers and arrangements.
