Head of Marketing – Taringa! Full Time (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Marketing during this exciting time of growth and evolution. You will report to the Head of Taringa and work closely with other department Heads across the Taringa business.

You will be responsible for directing marketing strategy as well as managing and hiring the right team to meet our ambitious goals. You will be the owner of expanding our Community beyond our current limits, be a key contributor on acquisition and retention, and own everything from how we evolve the Brand, who we partner with, how we attract the best creators / communities, to how we drive crypto adoption by the Community. You will turn visitors into advocates.

What You’ll be Doing

• Own positioning of the Brand and definition of all the aspects involved (persona, target, tone of voice, principles…).
• Lead product and features launch marketing strategy, covering acquisition through to advocacy.
• Define the target strategy to meet the global Taringa! Strategy goals.
• Define the editorial strategy with special focus on expanding crypto knowledge among our audience.
• Lead, hire and manage the necessary team to execute multiple aspects, including branding and positioning, editorial strategy, social media presence, partnerships, influencer & affiliate marketing, content creators, events, emailing, and ads.
• Build and own the relationships with external agencies and potential partners.
• Own the Marketing Budget.
• Contribute cross-functionally on the definition and development of Product features by being the user advocate inside the team, providing the necessary insights.

What You Bring to the Table

• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing or social media department in a digital B2C Company, working on global campaigns directed to consumers with special focus building communities. FinTech, e-commerce, entertainment, sports, gaming, NFTs are just a few examples of suitable experience.
• Obsessed with consumer behavior and deep understanding of how trends form and the ability to anticipate and act on them, who seeks to build communities with meaningful connections.
• Passionate about the change Web3 technologies are bringing. Curious, you have probably read a few whitepapers. Can describe in one sentence concepts like DeFi, DAO, Web3, NFTs, Blockchain, Smart contract… you probably watched Sotheby’s Constitution auction live!
• Has a proven track record of building 360 campaigns with strong focus on the creative and message rather than clicks.
• Excellent written skills and a strong presenter.
• As a leader, you focus on setting your team for success. Strong focus on quality of work and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage parallel projects in a dynamic environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: you are willing to take risks in uncertainty and learn from the outcome.
• Dreams big: understands the unique opportunity we currently have in shaping how Web3 looks like, and gives the best to build that future.
• English and Spanish are a must
