Senior Software Engineer Full Time

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working with the latest technologies to build the next generation of our node software for the IOTA DLT. You will have the opportunity to bring the latest advancements from DLT research to life. You will also have the opportunity to apply the protocol developments to face scalability and sustainability challenges, including various use cases developed by our partners, such as Digital Product Passports, Digital Rights Management or IIOT / Dataspaces.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality software solutions and specifications.
• Work effectively across different teams to address problems and collaboratively arrive at solutions ( Software Engineers, DevOps, Research Scientists)
• Perform and thrive in an environment where your work can change rapidly in response to customer feedback and data.
• Ensure timely delivery of technical solutions while maintaining a healthy work environment.
• Participate in and help transform cutting-edge research into practical software products.

Requirements:

• Experience with Go and TypeScript
• Knowledge of Applied Cryptography and security principles in general
• Experience in REST API design and implementation
• Knowledge of Smart Contracts / EVM / Tokenization (including NFT) and practical implementation of applications
• Experience with Docker / Docker Compose

Nice to have: 

• Be familiar with Self Sovereign Identity principles

ABOUT THE PROJECT

You will be deeply involved in several strategic and cutting-edge technological initiatives that have to do with the development of the IOTA protocol (the Tangle) and its application. As an open, feeless and scalable distributed ledger, IOTA 1.5 and then IOTA 2.0, can bring unprecedented levels of scalability and sustainability. For instance, in the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI),  a network developed by the European Commission that supports cross-border services between governments, businesses and citizens. EBSI wants to improve the efficiency and trust of EU-wide transactions, enhance the mobility of citizens, enterprises and goods, and reduce Europe’s environmental impact. IOTA’s Tangle is ideally suited to meet such infrastructure needs.
