Bitpanda Pro is our sophisticated retail and institutional offering for trading and custody of cryptocurrencies, which includes our exchange and prime brokerage services.

Your mission

As a Senior Core Compliance Officer at Bitpanda Pro your role will be to support the business and day to day operations by undertaking Compliance oversight activities to ensure the trading platform and OTC brokerage lines of business (for institutional and professional clients) remain in adherence to its relevant regulatory requirements. Such activities include Monitoring and Surveillance, Testing and Thematic reviews, Risk Assessments, Reporting (both internal and external), leading and overseeing Conduct controls, and working closely with various business and support functions to ensure a robust compliance control framework.

What you’ll do 

• Conducting monitoring and testing including in relation to AML and Market Abuse, as well as conducting Thematic Desk reviews (i.e. Structured Product distribution)
• Lead and manage internal and external reporting
• Manage Conduct related activities, i.e. PA Dealing, Gifts and Entertainment, Conflicts of Interest oversight and related management tasks
• Providing training to the business in relation to all Compliance related matters
• Support Regulatory change initiatives and projects

Who you are 

• Strong product knowledge covering multiple asset classes with a focus on cryptocurrency, derivatives (Futures, Options, Swaps) and structured products
• Significant experience in a similar role covering Monitoring, Surveillance and/or Testing
• Strong analytical and organisation skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Additional language skills would be a plus (German, Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch)
